Breaker currently has a portfolio of 100%-owned gold exploration projects (Lake Roe, Ularring Rock & Manna Lithium), comprising one granted Mining Lease and twelve exploration licences that cover an area of approximately 1,000km2. Previous company exploration on Breaker’s tenements is limited and on-ground activity consists mainly of part-coverage geochemical surveys with little or no drilling.
During 2012/13 Breaker completed multi-element auger soil sampling over all of its then projects to screen for large gold deposit signatures. These programs successfully identified eight new +10-20km gold-in-soil anomalies, validating the Company’s structural targeting approach and confirming the ability of Breaker’s geochemical techniques to see through sand cover. Other works completed include an aeromagnetic/radiometric survey, a trial ground electromagnetic survey, heritage surveys and considerable data interpretation and analysis.
2013/14 field activities included aircore and RC drilling at the Dexter Project, as well as reconnaissance mapping, rock chip sampling and heritage surveys. During 2014/15, exploration activities included a further aircore drilling program at the Dexter Project in August/September 2014, soil sampling (conventional and auger), rock chip sampling, geological mapping and environmental rehabilitation. In addition, extensive data analysis of both historical and Company exploration results was undertaken to improve understanding of geological setting, geochemistry and hydrogeology.
Since 2015/16, the main focus has been the Lake Roe Project where an aircore drilling program completed in August 2015 identified a new gold system. Subsequent aircore, RC and diamond drilling have confirmed a significant greenfields discovery with outstanding mining potential, resulting in a current Mineral Resource of over 1.4Moz.
Overview Breaker Resources NL (ASX BRB) is unlocking the potential of a new 700km2 greenfields gold district at its 100%-owned, 1.4Moz Lake Roe Gold Project, located between two operating gold mines 100km east of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. The project is situated between two operating gold mines on a recently identified southern extension of the 22Moz […]
The Manna deposit is situated approximately 15km south of Breaker Resources’s 1.4Moz Lake Roe Gold Resource. Outcropping lithium-bearing pegmatite was discovered by prospector Steve Argus while undertaking reconnaissance gold exploration for Breaker Resources. Mapping confirmed the presence of multiple spodumene-rich pegmatite over a 750m x 130m area, with individual pegmatite dykes up to 18m-wide (Photo […]
The Ularring Rock Project is located 100km east of Perth and 45km east of Chalice Mining’s large Julimar discovery. Breaker Resources pegged this project in 2014 and it is now part of an exciting new mineral province in WA’s Southwest Yilgarn following the world-class Julimar PGE-Ni discovery, and the growth of the 1.8Mt copper resource […]
